BOARD NEWS

"NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT
The firm enforcement of our Rules & Regulations has not been a priority for many years. As a result, some homes within Towne Point have become very unsightly. The result of this is that we have failed to maintain a community appearance, and our home values have been negatively affected. After numerous complaints from owners, the Board of Directors has decided to revise and to strengthen our Rules & Regulations, and to begin strict enforcement. The membership will be informed soon of the coming changes."

The Board of Directors held the Annual Meeting on Monday, September 8th at 7:00 PM at the clubhouse.

The treasurer reported that the association is likely to end the year meeting its budget goals and reserve fund target of 37% of dues being added to that fund.  Budget planning for 2026 will begin in September.  Board will be presented with a proposal at the end of the month.  A budget proposal will be presented to the membership at a Special Budget meeting in November.  The Board will vote to approve the proposal and ballots will be sent to members mid-November and counted at the December 3rd meeting.

The main project for reserve spending in 2026 will be paving of either the Beacon or Dana Cul de sacs.  Updated estimates will be requested from Agate Paving.

Judy Derby met with the Public Works supervisor and requested that Eddy St. be reopened as an emergency exit for Towne Point.  They  agreed, and cleared the road of brush, fixed the culvert and erected moveable barriers to prevent regular usage.

Other grounds projects include adding more pea gravel to the playground, installing a solar motion light to the storage area.

The Board of Directors  election ballots were counted at this meeting.
There were 51 ballots returned.  There were no write-in candidates.  The two incumbents who were on the ballot were re-elected for another two year term.

The full minutes of this meeting will be published in the minutes section of the website
