BOARD NEWS

On December 9th, the Board of Directors held a General Membership meeting.  This is the meeting that the Board ratifies the budget for the new year if the membership has voted to approve it.

Ballots were mailed to members in November and members were asked to vote to accept the 2025 budget which included a dues increase of $9.29 per quarter($150) or $37.16 per year.  Annual dues are now $600.

The ballots were counted at the meeting and there were 50 votes to approve the budget and 9 voted against it.

The Board also recommended that the membership vote to waive an audit of the 2024 records because 2023 was audited and found to be in order, meeting GAAP requirements, as were all previous four years.
An audit of the 2025 records will take place by default in 2026 as required by state statute.

Members voted 55 to 4 in favor of waiving the audit for 2024.

At this meeting also, the Board, on advice of the attorneys, voted to adopt a resolution clarifying that the correct version of CC&Rs under which the Association is operating is the 1979 version which was recorded as part of the PUD agreement with the City of Port Townsend.

A full version of the Minutes of this meeting will be posted on this website by the end of December. The next scheduled membership meeting is on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025
